I am so excited to have been crowned the 2009 Americaís Teen! I am also grateful to have won both the Achievement Award and Fitness Award in the Teen Division. As a high school senior from Johns Creek, Georgia, I am very active in both my school and community. In addition to maintaining a 4.0 GPA, my academic accomplishments include being a member of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, and the National English Honor Society. I am also a recipient of both the Georgia Merit Award and the National Leadership and Service Award. I hold true to my desire to be a role model by serving as a Peer Leader to mentor middle school girls.
I show my school spirit as a varsity football cheerleader. I have received numerous Most Valuable Player and Coachís Awards. I was even chosen as a Universal Cheerleading Association All Star as well as an All-American Cheerleader.
One of my greatest interests is Acting. A noteworthy item on my rÈsumÈ includes being named Actress of the Year at the International Presentation of Performers 2006 in New York. I have been in several radio commercials and have done national TV commercials for Macyís, and was also the featured emcee on an episode of TLCís Toddlers and Tiaras. In addition to film and TV acting, I love theater and am a member of the National Thespian Society and have participated in numerous plays and improvisation shows.
My desire to better my local community through volunteering not only led me to get deeply involved in worthwhile causes such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, American Cancer Society, and Knots of Love, but also the development of CommuniTeens, a website dedicated to assisting teenagers who want to make a difference through volunteer work. I believe that all teens have the power to make a difference, and I want to inspire them to use the abilities they have been given in order to help others.
I plan to be very active throughout the year making public appearances and devoting my time to various important causes. My favorite saying is: ìGo confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.î I am honored to be a representative for Beauties of America and promote its values of achievement as well as inner and outer beauty.
